OUR STORY
Two years ago, after the birth of our son, I started to get sick. I had actually been sick for a while, but I didn’t know that at first. After he was born I was tired all the time (of course that is to be expected, I wasn’t getting any sleep), I was getting migraines a lot (I assumed it was the sleep deprivation), I would get an itchy scalp quite often, and even itchy ears and eyes (I figured it was allergies or maybe a reaction to a new shampoo). Then one day out of nowhere I got eczema on my legs. Now normally, where I come from, when you have a problem on your skin you see a dermatologist, a problem with your ears or eyes an ENT and ophthalmologist, recurrent migraines mean a trip to the neurologist, and lack of sleep, well that was just life with a new baby. But the eczema was just so unusual for me, it got me thinking – what was causing it and why was it happening now? I reached out to my friends and their friends who were doctors, nutritionists and even scientists. Luckily, I found some amazing doctors. They tested me for everything and it turned out that these strange symptoms were actually all related and all of my problems were originating in my gut. I had an array of digestive issues – Celiac, Candida, dysbiosis, leaky gut and most importantly I had very little of the good bacteria and lots of the bad bugs.
About 5 minutes after my results came back, I sent my husband Ben to get his own labs done and his came back with the same results – hardly any of the good guys and lots of the bad bacteria, plus a few surprises like a dairy allergy. We started researching and found out that it wasn’t just us. Cran-Gyn, with cranberry extract to promotes urinary tract health naturally by making it harder for bad bacteria and yeasts to adhere. D-mannose (Birch tree extract) works to inhibit E-coli related urinary tract issues.
