SIMPLE FRUIT COMPOTE RECIPE
2 ingredient, perfect for your Krusteaz Buttermilk Protein Pancakes!
Ready in 15 minutes!
3 cups fresh or frozen fruit (My favorites are blueberries, strawberries or apples)
1/4 cup of sugar
Combine all the ingredients in a medium size saucepan and bring to a boil on medium heat.
Turn down to medium low and let slowly simmer for about 10 more minutes until the fruit begins to break down.
Take off heat and let it cool down a bit before using. It will thicken up a bit as it does.
HOMEMADE BUTTERMILK SYRUP
5 ingredient, best tasting syrup for your Krusteaz Buttermilk Protein Pancakes!
Ready in under 10 minutes!
Heat sugar, buttermilk, and butter in a saucepan over medium heat until mixture starts to boil.
Remove saucepan from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla into buttermilk mixture.
(Make sure you use a large enough pan because it will foam up)
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
