The idea for One Potato was cooked up in our home kitchens. As busy parents, we shared similar frustrations about feeding our children fresh, healthy meals that were easy to prepare and appealed to everyone. We’ve always enjoyed cooking, but found that preparing complicated, gourmet dishes just didn’t work with the reality of life as a parent. The options available – takeout, frozen dinners, and dining out – were either prohibitively expensive or didn’t seem healthy (or both). Other meal kit delivery services, while convenient, didn’t offer recipes that appealed to our kids. We created One Potato to feed our families and yours; and to ensure that parents around the country no longer dread the question, "what’s for dinner?"

Sign Up: tell us the size of your family (# of adults and # of children), how often you'd like to cook (2-3 nights per week), and any dietary restrictions you may have (i.e. poultry, red meat, pork, fish, shellfish). We offer vegetarian, nut-free and gluten free meals as well. You’ll receive an email with pictures and recipes of the delicious dinners you’ll be cooking the following week!
Receive Your Box: this is the fun part! Each Tuesday or Wednesday, a box of incredibly fresh, organic food arrives at your home, packed in a cooled, insulated box. What’s more, it’s measured and semi-chopped, ready to prepare. The box includes delicious meals and simple instructions, customized to your family.
Going out of town? Just click on our Delivery Schedule and tell us you don’t need the help that week. We have no membership fee, and no minimum commitment. You can skip any week’s delivery up to 6 weeks in advance or cancel at any time.
Start Cooking & Enjoy: you decide which of the meals you’ll be cooking that night. Refrigerate the rest (or freeze the proteins if you won’t be eating them within 4-5 days). Encourage your kids to help out, and within 30 minutes, your whole family will be eating a new, healthy and tasty dinner together.
My Review:
One Potato answers the age old question of what's for dinner tonight! As a busy mom of four, planning dinner can sometimes completely slip my mind. It's only when my husband texts me to let me know that he's on his way home that I panic to find something that can be made quickly and that I have all the ingredients to make. More often than not because of my lack of planning I end up having him grab fast food or take out on the way home which tends to really throw off our budget and it's never really healthy food.
One Potato is simply a dream come true! Not only do they take all the planning out of dinnertime but the ingredients are organic, healthy and pre-measured. I also need to add that I have three girls who I've dreamed about helping me out in the kitchen for sometime now and now thanks to One Potato I'm finally able to get them involved. Since everything is pre-measured there's very little clean up and all three of my girls are able to help prepare dinner.
My family and I had the pleasure of trying the three meals above and they were absolutely incredible! The flavor was superb and the meals were more than enough for my family of six. Another thing my family loved is that it also came with cookie dough that we simply sliced and baked which means I even had dessert planned. I simply cannot get over how delicious these meals were! One Potato is perfect for families, couples, or anyone simply trying to answer the age old question of whats for dinner!
