Description

Humpty Dumpty had a great fall, but what if the king's men told the rhyme? In this novel approach to nursery rhymes, half the book holds the classic rhyme, while the flip-side holds a fractured version that starts from the back. Whimsical art adds to the flip-side fun.

For ages 2-4.

*Common Core applications appropriate for very young children

*Unique flip-book approach teaches point-of-view and perspective

From the Flip-Side Nursery Rhymes series. Check out the flip-side of beloved nursery rhymes. One half of these books has the original rhyme. Flip over the book and start from the "back" for a fresh, new rhyme from another character's point of view. Bold, whimsical illustrations complement the playful text.

MY THOUGHTS

This is a favorite nursery rhyme in my house so this book was well liked! It's also fun that the second half of the book is from the perspective of the king's men and how they tried to fix Humpty Dumpty. The ending from the perspective of the king's men is really cute and my kids thought it was really funny. I love that it has the classic story and then a fun little twist at the end of the perspective of the king's men. The illustrations are very cute and colorful. This is a really great book for ages 2-4 but my 5 and 7 year old enjoyed it too!

April showers bring May flowers! Lyrical, rhyming text takes young readers on a journey with furry and feathery friends to experience springtime rain.

For ages 2-4. From the Springtime Weather Wonders series.

* Award-winning poet and children's author Charles Ghigna

* Great for spring promotions

* Perfect way to introduce preschoolers to weather concepts

My kids really enjoyed this book! It's so colorful and the animals are so cute! Me and my kids also loved the rhyming in the story. We also liked the ending when the rainbow spreads across the sky and the raining stops. As a homeschooling mother I also appreciate how this book teaches preschoolers weather concepts that they can relate to. It's a great book for children ages 2-4 but even my 7 year old loved it because it's just too cute to not enjoy!

Engage Organics Salt Free Blends Review

http://www.engageorganics.com/

Engage Organics Salt-free Seasoning Blends are the salt-free, sugar-free,  organic, gluten-free, and Non-GMO, plant-based healthy flavor-alternatives to salt and sugar.

Our focus is on taste and nutrition to promote healthier delicious foods without salt, because your health depends upon it.

As the pioneer and innovator in the salt-free seasoning market, we are reincarnating our “Parsley Patch Salt-Free Blends” under a new name and organic orientation, called Engage Organics. Our mission is to finish what we started in 1980, to make our seasoning blends the flavorful go-to alternative to salt.

Once the last of our blends vanished from the marketplace in 2013, we realized we couldn’t cook without our secret family recipes. We decided it was time to bring them back.

As it turns out, we weren’t the only ones who missed our “bottled magic,” for healthy flavor without salt. Ironically, people tell us they have frozen jars of their favorite blends for as long as 10 years in hopes that we would someday return.

Our hiatus from the grocer’s shelves has renewed our commitment to producing high quality salt-free blended spices now that heart disease is quickly becoming the leading cause of death on the planet. People need these blends now more than ever to prevent heart disease and live their best life.

Engage Organics embraces our dedication to your health and well-being with our line of 11 salt-free blends, which are now organic, salt-free, sugar-free,  gluten-free, Non-GMO, and plant-based blends.

Our blends are back to “Do Your Heart a Flavor” and be a game-changer in the way you think about flavor without salt. We love making your food healthier.

My family loves garlic so this was one of our favorite seasonings. I love the way it smells and I made some delicious garlic grilled chicken using this seasoning and it was the best seasoned chicken I've had in a long time. I love that it wasn't overpowered by salt and the flavors really got to shine.

This seasoning was yummy as well! My family loves Mexican food so we used it in my homemade chili and nachos. The flavor it added was unique but was very good. Again I think the flavors really came alive without the overpowering of salt that you normally have with seasonings.

So..... I'm not big on curry but I gave this to a neighbor who said she loved it. She promised to make me something using it and swears it will make me a fan of curry so I'll have to update once I've tried it. If you are a fan of curry I'm sure you'd love this seasoning as all the others were wonderful.

Hampton Creek Just Mayo Review

ABOUT HAMPTON CREEK
The mission of Hampton Creek is to bring healthier and affordable food to everyone, everywhere. The company was named one of Entrepreneur Magazine’s 100 Brilliant Companies and one of CNBC’s Top 50 Disruptors. CEO Josh Tetrick was also named to Inc. Magazine’s 35 Under 35 list of top entrepreneurs. Its first product, Just Mayo, which sold out at Safeway stores within two weeks after launching, is now available nationwide in Dollar Tree, Whole Foods, ShopRite, Kroger, select Costco warehouses, over 600 natural channel stores, and will soon be launching in North American Target and Walmart locations. Hampton Creek was named last year by Bill Gates as one of three companies shaping the future of food, and is backed by Li Ka-shing, the wealthiest man in Asia.

This is by far the best mayo! It has a simple clean taste and my family loves it! I love it on sandwiches but I have to say it makes the best deviled eggs ever. I love that it's made with simple ingredients and that it's made by a company I'm proud to support. Keep up the good work Hampton Creek!

Second Nature & Kars Review

Second Nature® brand snacks are 100% natural premium mixes designed to meet the demands of consumers that seek naturally healthier snack options with nutritional value. Second Nature snacks abide by some simple rules: Instinctive. Fun. Good habit forming. In other words… it’s got to be ‘second nature’.

Consumers’ desires for more healthy and satisfying snacks are met by incorporating all natural ingredients; like dark chocolate chunks, almonds, pecans, pistachios, blueberries, tart red cherries and cranberries. Plus, all our medleys have no trans fats, no cholesterol, and are either low in sodium or sodium free.

Kar’s Nuts was founded in 1933, in a tiny kitchen in their home across the street from Tiger Stadium in Detroit. Here, Sue Kar roasted and sold peanuts to Tiger fans. The peanuts became so popular that a manufacturing plant was soon built to distribute peanuts to retailers throughout Metro Detroit. The company was sold to the Nicolay family in the 1960’s, and continues today as a family-run business. Still based in Michigan, Kar’s Nuts now roasts and packages nuts and trail mixes carried by convenience stores, grocery chains and club stores throughout America.

Above are the varieties I tried and let me tell you everyone of them are delicious and such a great snack for on the go. I kept them in my purse and diaper bag so that when I was out and about I always had a healthy snack to snack on.

The Wholesome Medley is delicious and great for anyone like me with a bit of a sweet tooth. They have fruit and chocolate along with the nuts so you get a bite of sweetness in every handful.

The Premium Duet are pretty yummy too! I love cashews so while these don't have the sweetness like the fruit and chocolate blends they are a great healthy snack that I very much enjoyed.

The Simplicity Medley has nuts and fruit along with some sunflower seeds. This was delicious as well and again great for anyone that likes a little bit of sweetness with every bite. I preferred these over the Wholesome Medley but only because I'm not a huge fan of chocolate. If your a chocolate lover you'd probably prefer the Wholesome Medley.

The Naked Medley was pretty good as well! It had lots of raisins almonds and my favorite cashews! Again this had just the right amount of sweetness in every bite which I loved.

California Almonds are great too! These are a perfect healthy snacking option. They are rich source of nutrients, including vitamin E, calcium, folic acid and protein. I'm not a huge fan of just almonds but these were the yummiest almonds I've ever had. They were sweet and tasted very fresh.

Kars Apple Nut Trailbreak was my absolute favorite! I absolutely loved the pieces of apple that were covered in the cinnamon and sugar from the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. The yogurt covered raisins were also a nice addition and the dried cranberries really tied it all together. This one was a bit sweeter but since I have a bit of a sweet tooth I thought it was wonderful. The nuts did help it to not be overly sweet and to me made it a perfect snack.

Booginhead Squeez'Ems & SplatMat Review

Booginhead SplatMat is awesome! We've used it at the park for our picnics and at home under our high chair and I love it. The SplatMat doesn't take up much space in our picnic basket and works better than our old blanket method because leaves and dirt doesn't stick to it. I also love that it's phthalate and bpa free because keeping chemicals out of my kids life is something I try to do on a daily basis. Using it under a high chair is nice because I can shake most of the mess into the trash and wipe the SplatMat up in a few seconds. The SplatMat costs $19.99 and in my opinion is money well spent. You can purchase your SplatMat at http://www.booginhead.com/splatmat

Another great product by Booginhead is their Squeez'Ems. My daughter loves those expensive squeeze food pouches but with these I can make her healthier, fresher and much cheaper smoothies. I love that you can freeze them because I can make her smoothies ahead of time! My biggest concern was how to clean them but adding some soapy water and using a bottle brush cleans them up like new. These are amazing and I will definitely be buying a few more to have on hand. The Squeez'Ems cost $9.50 and are worth every penny! You can purchase your own at http://www.booginhead.com/screw-top-squeezems

SQUEEZ'EMS FEATURES!

• Perfect for lunch boxes and travel
• For ALL ages
• Cap is attached to eliminate lost parts
• Screw-top lid opens clockwise to prevent accidental opening
• Freezer and microwave safe
• Environmentally friendly and cost conscious
• Reuse and save money
• BPA, PVC and phthalate free

CARE: To clean, add warm soapy water, shake and rinse. Easy to clean with a bottle brush. Clean before first and each use.
