Young viewers can join Daniel Tiger and his friends and family as they have “grr-ific” winter adventures and learn valuable lessons along the way. 

Daniel can’t wait to play in the snow, but before he and Miss Elaina can go outside, Daniel learns that he needs to, “think about what you’re going to do, and pick the clothes that are right for you.” Hats and mittens might spoil certain games, but being too cold to play is no fun for anyone! Daniel also discovers that when an activity – such as sledding, ice skating, or dancing in “The Nutcracker” ballet – seems scary or hard to do, trying a little bit at a time can make it easier.

“DANIEL’S WINTER WONDERLAND” will be available on DVD October 11, 2016. The DVD has a run time of approximately 60 minutes and an SRP of $6.99. The stories included on this DVD are below. Episodes of DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD are also available for digital download.

“A Snowy Day”

It’s snowing in the Neighborhood! Miss Elaina is coming over to Daniel’s house to play in the snow. When it’s time to go outside, Mom Tiger helps Daniel change out of his pajamas into clothes that will keep him warm, and Daniel learns how important it is to choose the proper clothes.

“Daniel’s Winter Adventure”

Daniel, Dad, and Prince Wednesday are all going sledding! But once they get to the hill and see how tall it is, Daniel and Prince Wednesday get scared. Dad assures them that if they try it a little bit at a time, they might surprise themselves and have fun. Later, Daniel goes ice skating for the first time. When he tries it a little bit at a time, he realizes it is not so hard.

“Neighborhood Nutcracker”

Daniel is going to see a show called “The Nutcracker” ballet! Once he arrives at the performance, he finds out that Prince Wednesday is sick and needs Daniel to fill in for his part of the ballet. Daniel is reluctant at first but realizes that if he learns the steps a little bit at a time, he can dance “The Nutcracker” and the show will go on! 

“Baking Mistakes”

Daniel and Prince Wednesday are at the bakery helping Baker Aker make cookies for the Neighborhood. But Prince Wednesday accidentally spills the milk! No crying though because mistakes can happen. Soon the boys learn that they can try to fix their mistakes and learn from them, too. Trolley cookies for everyone!

My Review:

Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood: Daniel's Winter Wonderland DVD is an awesome way to celebrate the coming of winter. For my family and I we have awhile to wait before Arizona shows us any winter weather which is why we truly enjoy thinking about winter. In the epsiode “A Snowy Day” my kids enjoyed seeing what a snowy day would be like. Truth be told only my oldest has experienced a snowy day but we did promise to take the kids up north to experience a snowy day this winter so this episode got them super excited for that. “Daniel’s Winter Adventure” teaches kids that if they try it a little bit at a time it won't be so hard. This episode is great for my super cautious eight year old because she has a hard time with trying new things. In the “Neighborhood Nutcracker” Daniel needs to fill in for his friend for part of the ballet. Daniel is reluctant at first but realizes that if he learns the steps a little bit at a time, he can dance “The Nutcracker” and the show will go on! My kids love the Nutcracker so they really enjoyed this episode. “Baking Mistakes” is a fun episode that teaches kids that mistakes happen and sometimes we can fix them and learn from them. With three daughters we've definitely had our share of baking mistakes so my girls could really relate to this episode. 

Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood: Daniel's Winter Wonderland DVD is filled with fun and is the perfect way to get your family excited for winter and all that it brings!

Everyone has something that makes him or her unique and special. In DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD, Daniel’s friends have so many talents that sometimes it’s hard to stand out. When a class performance leaves O the Owl feeling discouraged, and a fun walk through the neighborhood leaves Daniel wondering if he’s as special as his friends, it’s a good time to remember that great friends appreciate each other just the way they are!

“You Are Special”

The children are putting on a show at school today, each doing something that presents a unique ability. At first, O the Owl wants to be just like the others, but with a little encouragement, he finds his own special ability, too.

“Daniel Is Special”

Daniel and Dad take a fall walk through the Neighborhood, admiring the colors of the leaves. On their way, they meet Miss Elaina and O the Owl. Both Miss Elaina and O the Owl do special things that make Daniel wonder if he is as special as they are. Dad reminds Daniel of the things that make him special, such as his whimsical imagination!

“No Red Sweater for Daniel”

Daniel is getting ready for the day and can’t find his red sweater anywhere! Mom tells Daniel that it’s in the wash, so he’ll just have to find something else to wear. Daniel puts on a blue sweater and is concerned because he looks different. How does he know he’s still HIM? Mom assures him that no matter what you wear or how different you appear, you’re always still YOU on the inside.

“Teacher Harriet’s New Hairdo”

Daniel goes to school and finds that something is different: his teacher! But wait…it IS Teacher Harriet, only with a different hairstyle. Daniel is hesitant at first but soon comes to understand that even though we can all change how we look on the outside, we’re still the same on the inside.

“Same and Different”

While Daniel is playing dress up with his friends at school, he feels different when he realizes that not everyone has a tail like him. He learns that everyone has differences, but that these characteristics are the things that make us unique.

“Tutu All the Time”

Katerina has on her favorite sparkly tutu at school today! She likes to wear it all the time, even when she’s painting and playing “grizzly bear” with her friends. But she soon learns how important it is to choose the proper clothes for the things you want to do.

“Daniel Thinks of Others”

Daniel is making different kinds of art at school today. While creating a picture for his family, he ends up using ALL of the glitter. Oh no! What if someone else needs glitter? Teacher Harriet tells Daniel that it will be okay, but to always keep in mind that whatever you do, you should think about what other people might need, too.   

“Daniel Thinks of What Margaret Needs”

Daniel and Miss Elaina want to play their musical instruments and march all around the house, but Margaret needs to sleep and it would be way too noisy! Mom and Dad remind Daniel that he should be aware of how the things he does might affect the needs of others.

My Review:

Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood: You Are Special, Daniel Tiger! DVD is super fun to watch! My kids love Daniel Tiger from my youngest to my oldest so when we got this DVD they were super excited. I love that that Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood: You Are Special, Daniel Tiger! teaches kids that great friends appreciate each other just the way they are. Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood: You Are Special, Daniel Tiger! also teaches kids to be thoughtful and considerate which is something I think just about everyone needs to work on. My kids love all the episodes on this DVD and I love that they're short so the kids can watch a few while their little brother naps. I've also noticed my kids seem to get along much better after watching this DVD and feel that it's because they truly are thinking about others. Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood: You Are Special, Daniel Tiger! DVD is filled with wonderful lessons for kids and I think this DVD is absolutely wonderful!

My Review:

As a busy mom of 4 I really don't have time for fatigue so I do everything I can to stay healthy and energized which is why I love these Herbal Immunity Drops from Ricola. Herbal Immunity Drops from Ricola are formulated with ginseng, vitamins C, B6 and B12 and a proprietary blend of 10 natural Swiss herbs to promote health and energy. Moodsters Talking Plush and Activity Book educate, entertain, and enhance the social and emotional development of children!

I'm totally in love with Moodsters Talking Plush and Activity Book! Teaching kids about their emotions isn't easy and neither is teaching them how to deal with them. I had the pleasure of testing out happiness (Coz) and totally love everything this little guy does to help kids learn how to feel happy. He even suggested doing something for others which is definitely a way to make you feel happy. It's also one of the most important thing we can do to show others we love them and to help them feel happy. My daughter loves her Moodsters Talking Plush and Activity Book and begins each day with them. 

Each plush character articulates sayings and suggestions specific to the emotions they represent and comes with a 32-page activity book that helps kids learn about emotions while they’re having fun. Moodsters Talking Plush and Activity Book are perfect for kids 3 and up and was completely loved by my 4 year old. As a mom of 4 we definitely need the rest of the gang from Moodsters Talking Plush and Activity Book line to help the kiddos to work through their emotions. I would imagine even the adults could learn a thing or two from the Moodsters Talking Plush line!

My Review:

Mirabella Beauty is definitely makeup with personality! I absolutely love the shades they offer and found both their Modern Matte Lipsticks and Eye Lights to be some of my favorite makeup products that I've used in awhile. I really like that Mirabella Beauty's Modern Matte Lipsticks are paraben-free and lead-free. If you haven't heard about lead in lipsticks please do look it up as it's in many lipsticks. This is one of my many reasons I tell family not to kiss my kids. I honestly don't wear a lot of lipstick because I'm not a big fan of how it feels on my lips but Mirabella Beauty's Modern Matte Lipsticks felt light and not sticky like other lipsticks I've used in the past. I also really like the color and matte finish. Mirabella Beauty's Eye Lights are so pretty! I really love the shade called Charade but the other two looked amazing as well. I also really thought the three new shades would be perfect for the holidays. Mirabella Beauty's Eye Lights are long lasting mineral formula and seemed to blend really well. I'm completely in love with Mirabella Beauty and highly suggest you all check them out!

My Review:

NIrV Love Letters from God Holy Bible by Glenys Nellist is a fabulous Bible for kids! I absolutely love the 80 personal love letters from God as well as the Wonderful Words which are special verses to remember and cherish. I also really like that NIrV Love Letters from God Holy Bible by Glenys Nellist includes 80 prompts encouraging children to write their own love letters to God. I also really like that there's a splash of color throughout this Bible with 8 full-color tip-in pages with additional content. NIrV Love Letters from God Holy Bible by Glenys Nellist is a wonderful Bible that teaches kids that God loves them as well as encourages them to build a relationship with Him!
