Balloons are always a blast for kids, whether it be for a birthday party, a rainy day or just an ordinary day there's so much fun to be had with balloons. Below are a few fun ways to play with balloons that my kids absolutely loved! I got all the supplies at Oriental Trading to complete these projects and love how affordable it made our balloon fun!
The first super fun thing my kids and I did was make these super fun fish bowls. We first stretched out the balloon and stuffed a few Colorful Goldfish inside of the Diamond Clear 11" Latex Balloons. Make sure you use clear balloons so you can see your fish. My kids loved rolling these around and making the fish "swim". Another fun idea would be to add some glitter into the balloon before filling it with water. You can also just blow up the balloon instead of filling it with water for fun inside play.
For our next fun balloon project we added a couple Growing Sea Life Characters into the Diamond Clear 11" Latex Balloons by again stretching it out and just stuffing them in. Then, simply fill the balloon with as much water as you want. This project was incredibly fun because my kids got to watch the Growing Sea Life Characters grow from all angles.
For our next project we again used the Diamond Clear 11" Latex Balloons but stuffed a few fun sea creatures from Oriental Tradings Sea Life Creatures Assortment. This time we just blew the balloons up for some fun indoor play since it happened to be raining outside. This project would also be fun for birthday party favors.
And, since plain Jane balloons are always a hoot we simply blew up some 12" Latex Balloons and placed them on a few of Oriental Trading's White Balloon Sticks with Cup to hold them in place. You can also add some White Curling Ribbon to fancy them up a bit. These would be perfect for parties and you could even add any of the fun little toys above to the balloons and send a balloon filled with party favors home with kids.
