We at BumbleBar take much pride in making delicious, certified-organic, certified gluten-free snacks. We also care a great deal about doing the right thing for people and the planet. The People, Profit, Planet concept is one that has been growing in popularity among socially responsible businesses in the past several years. People, Profit, Planet represents the “triple bottom line” of sustainable business talk. All three concepts are intertwined — if one suffers, they all suffer. People means that we work hard to create a great environment for our employees and develop wonderful relationships with our suppliers and our customers.
We believe in providing living wage jobs in our community of Spokane, WA. We handcraft the BumbleBars right here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Additionally, our suppliers benefit from our unique loyalty program. This program lets our vendors know that we value their business practices as much as the pricing of their commodities. For example, we purchase most of our ingredients from worker owned cooperatives. Purchasing directly from the farmers means that the farmers don’t have to sell to brokers, who take a large chunk of their profit.
At BumbleBar, we are committed to social and economic justice. And, buying directly from farmer owned co-ops benefits communities from Indonesia, Turkey, Nicaragua, Canada, and Honduras. Profit means that we need to be profitable to be a sustainable business — if we aren’t profitable, we can’t do our best work for the other two legs, people and the planet. Planet means that businesses must create business models that sustain the planet. BumbleBar goes beyond what most people might expect from an organic food company. We constantly monitor our waste stream, reducing our scrap products so they don’t end up in the landfill. Instead of throwing out underweight bars, we send them out as samples. We use eco-friendly paper products and biodegradable cleaning products. We use recycled shipping boxes to ship out our BumbleBars to folks who order directly on the web site, and we use Eco-Flow cornstarch packing peanuts. Invoices are printed on recycled paper.

My Review:
BumbleBar Bars are amazing! The Chocolate Crisp reminds me of a crispy chocolate candy that I used to love before I cleaned up my food choices. Needless to say this has quickly become my new favorite chocolate treat. I love that these bars are gluten free, organic and high in fiber and protein! The Chai Almond reminds me of a yummy snicker doodle cookie and the Amazing Almond has the perfect amount of salty sweetness. BumbleBar Bars are the perfect healthy snack to boost your energy naturally!
